Carol Gabanna

Carol Gabanna’s practice is all about challenging and supporting clients to improve their performance – to do their work better than they think they can!  She works from a core belief that everyone has strengths and every person has potential.

She provides facilitation for meetings where results matter and clients can’t afford to mess it up.

She works with senior executives to help them plot their career path and make career choices, managers who want to prepare for difficult employee conversations, business owners who need to work on time management and future business planning, CEOs to develop their leadership competencies, and employees to help them work through conflict with colleagues.

She works with organizations to design and implement performance management systems, including training managers in performance management and communications skills.

Carol has a deep interest that boards work better – that board members time and wisdom is used well, that organizations are governed well and that boards and CEOs are accountable.  She consults with board and CEOs to teach them the Policy Governance® model and coach them in using it.

Carol is gifted at making the complex simple, engaging people quickly, and understanding her client’s world.  To her coaching practice, Carol brings thirty years in the public, not for profit and private sector as employee, manager, CEO, senior executive and consultant, including twenty years in the health system.  She now works as a management and governance consultant and executive coach with HR Atlantic, a human resources consulting firm in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Her wide experience in and with organizations have given her a great perspective on how the organizations work, the challenges of managing staff, the excitement and pain of implementing change and the satisfaction of making a difference.

Carol is a certified Executive Coach through Royal Roads University and a LEADS Certified Executive Coach. She is licenced trainer in the 5-5-5 Coaching Skills Training Program™ with Coaching Out of the Box® and is also an accredited practitioner of Insights® Discovery.
