Brenda has four decades’ experience in executive leadership roles, coaching leaders, leading HR design, strategy, recruitment, retention, labour and employee relations and development in small, startup private organizations, to large corporate, public sector, not-for-profit and global companies. She has held Senior HR Leadership roles in University of California as Chief Human Resources Officer, Interior Health in British Columbia as Vice President, People and Clinical Services, Alberta Health Services as Vice President of Talent Strategies, David Thompson Health Region as Vice President of Human Resources and East Central Health in Saskatchewan as Vice President of Human Resources, to name a few. She has led transformational change in health care in three provinces. Her high-profile networks include Vizient Health; a North American Academic Health System Support group, Human Resources Leadership Council; a University of California Council of Chief Human Resource Officers, Talent Attic; an ‘Invitation only’ Executive Leadership Group led by Google Ventures and MacLean’s Magazine, as a strategic Human Resources Advisor for their Peer-to-Peer Healthcare Group. She is a sought-after speaker for many events including the World Business Research Healthcare Conference and Shared Services in Academic Healthcare and Higher Education. She regularly mentors and coaches new and developing Executive Human Resource leaders to achieve success. She recently won Alberta’s Women’s Award of Excellence for her work in Health and the Non-profit sector in Central Alberta.
