Shiyen is a Certified Executive Coach, who works with high-performing ambitious leaders. She is the host and curator of “Lessons in Leadership and Life”, the first of its kind video podcast that features candid conversations with top leaders in healthcare. She is also a professional speaker, having shared the stage with the iconic author Jack Canfield, who wrote the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University. She trained with the World’s #1 Executive Coach, Marshall Goldsmith and uses a distinctive coaching approach that is evidence-based, outcomes-focused and measurable.
She is a Certified Visionary Leadership Coach, Certified LEADS coach, and Certified Hogan Coach, and Hogan assessments are the global authority when it comes to leadership assessments. In addition, she is a Certified Yoga Teacher, and blends her diverse certifications and expertise to create a truly holistic and empowering approach that guarantees results.
She has served the most vulnerable in the healthcare industry in Toronto as a frontline clinician, and quickly progressed to leadership roles, leading strategic projects and large teams. She previously co-founded a holistic wellness organization and has trained, coached and mentored top clinicians and leaders in Canada. She is a life-long learner, an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto and serves as a Director on the Board of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.
