Betty is a seasoned LEADS coach, consultant and facilitator passionate about maximizing the potential of individuals, teams and organizations. 

Betty leverages her experience as a senior leader in the public sector for the last two decades to provide insightful coaching and consulting on talent development, change leadership and EDI. As the Director of Organizational Learning and Leadership and Patient/Family and Client Centered Care, Saskatchewan Health Authority, 2007-2016, she led the acclaimed Saskatchewan Leadership Program (SLP). She believes in the power of coaching and fostering coaching cultures and was the proud winner of 2016 Prism Award from ICF.

Betty is currently the CEO (Chief Encouragement Officer) of BM Leadership Coaching and Consulting Inc., a boutique firm that partners with leaders to maximize their impact, navigate complex team challenges and increase engagement. 

Betty is a lifelong learner. She holds a Master of Arts in Leadership. In addition, she is certified in Executive Coaching, PROSCI Change Practitioner, Cultural Intelligence, and Emotional Intelligence 2.0 & 360. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Saskatchewan, Department of Educational Administration, exploring research on Adaptive Leadership, Transformative Learning and Practical Wisdom and is an Associate Faculty at Royal Roads University.

Betty is the proud recipient of the Leadership Saskatoon Alumni Leadership Award in 2021 and 2022 Canada’s Top 100 Black Women to Watch.

Outside work, she is an avid community volunteer, a wife and a mother of three young adults. She loves container gardening and travelling.
