The Canadian College of Health Leaders has developed Canada’s first set of benchmarks to guide and support organizations to successfully integrate leadership into their organizational culture. The evidence-based CCHL Leadership Organization (CLO) benchmarks, a leadership integration guide for organizations, are sorted within seven categories that demonstrate a purposefully cultivated leadership culture.
By achieving and sustaining CLO benchmarks, organizations foster an engaged and empowered workforce, resulting in increased leadership capacity and performance, aligned with its core values and strategic objectives. This not only enhances outcomes at all levels, but also increases retention and strengthens recruitment efforts by creating a workplace culture that attracts top talent and facilitates long-term success.
CCHL has developed a self-assessment tool designed to guide organizations in evaluating their current state of leadership integration based on the CLO benchmarks. This evaluation tool systematically guides respondents through the CLO benchmark criteria and generates a summary report indicating which CLO criteria are achieved by the organization.
