New LEADS Book Featured at CCHL Webinar

November 9, 2020

On November 6, the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) hosted a webinar featuring the new “Bringing Leadership to Life in Health: LEADS in a Caring Environment (2nd edition)—Putting LEADS to Work” book with editors Graham Dickson, PhD (Royal Roads University) and Bill Tholl O.C., M.A. (CHLNet).

Health leaders from across Canada joined us to learn more about the new edition and ask the editors and authors some questions.

The first edition of the LEADS book (Springer 2014) introduced the five domains of the leadership framework: Lead self, Engage others, Achieve results, Develop coalitions and Systems transformation.

Over the past five years LEADS has proven to be the go-to leadership framework because it is simple, easily accessible and research informed. It has been adopted widely across Canada and is garnering increased attention in other health systems. The second edition includes five new chapters from invited authors and highlights how LEADS has been put to productive use across Canada and internationally.

Lessons learned and highlights from the newly released book will be published in a series of social media posts. For more information about the book, please visit: https://cchl-ccls.ca/site/resources/partner/leadsbook
