The Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL), in collaboration with its Québec Chapter, has made the decision to postpone the 2025 edition of the Colloque francophone des leaders en santé (CFLS), originally scheduled for September 15, 2025, in Gatineau, Québec.
This decision reflects CCHL’s ongoing commitment to listen and respond to the evolving needs of its members. We deeply value the importance of francophone programming in the Canadian health leadership landscape, and we recognize the impact the Colloque has had since its inception three years ago in fostering enriching, French-language learning and networking opportunities for health leaders.
We are also acutely aware that ongoing environmental issues and associated challenges across Québec and other provinces continue to hinder participation in professional development events. In light of these circumstances, and as we look ahead to hosting our 2026 National Conference in Montreal, Québec, we have chosen to defer the 2025 Colloque to a future date, to be announced shortly.
The College remains steadfast in its commitment to francophone leadership development. To that end:
- A dedicated Francophone stream will be integrated into the 2026 National Conference in Montreal.
- Where possible, the Colloque Committee will be invited to help shape and support the francophone stream’s programming.
- We will aim to incorporate selected speakers, presenters, and session content initially planned for CFLS 2025 into the CCHL National Conference.
- We are immensely grateful to our generous sponsors and will work to optimize their involvement in upcoming francophone programming.
- And finally, we are actively exploring a return to Gatineau to host the Colloque at a future date.
Thank you to all participants, presenters, sponsors and supporters for your continued engagement and enthusiasm. We look forward to celebrating francophone excellence in health leadership together very soon.
