The Canadian College of Health Leaders is honored to announce the appointment of Dr. Marc Bilodeau, FCCHL, as the new Chair of the Board of Directors for a two-year term (2025 – 2027). Marc assumed the role at the conclusion of the May 21st Annual General Meeting.

Marc joined the CCHL Board of Directors in 2020 and was Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee from 2022 to 2025 and Chair of the Fellows Council in 2024. He now replaces outgoing Chair, Brenda Rebman, CHE, who completed her mandate and remains on the Board as Past Chair for one year to provide continuity and ensure a smooth leadership transition.
Dr. Marc Bilodeau is the President and CEO of the Outaouais Integrated Health and Social Services Centre, in Gatineau, Québec. He transitioned into this role after serving as Surgeon General for the Canadian Armed Forces, the culmination of a long military career marked by numerous clinical leadership and governance roles.

Dr. R. Lynn Stevenson, Ph.D., FCCHL, has been appointed as Interim Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors (2025 – 2026) due to a personal leave of absence for Raj Malik, CHE, Vice Chair of the Board. Lynn will fill this role until Raj Malik returns. Lynn is an RN by profession and has a PhD with a research focus on organizational change, practice and leadership. She is a CCHL Fellow, a CFHI EXTRA Fellow, and Certified corporate director (ICD-D). Lynn was appointed in February 2025 as the interim President and CEO of the Fraser Health Authority in BC.
The Board of Directors is pleased to welcome two new members for an initial three-year term (2025 – 2028):


- Joe Giannini, Vice President, Sales Strategy and Enablement, BD-Canada – (Region 2, Québec). Joe is a seasoned commercial leader with over 20 years of work experience in medical technology and healthcare industries in Canada. As a member of the BD Canadian leadership team, Joe leads the Strategic Customer Group to deliver meaningful outcomes for key customers.
- Sandy Jansen, CHE, Vice President, Patient Care and Risk Management, St. Joseph’s Health Care – (Region 3, Ontario). Sandy is known as a passionate, high-performance and results-oriented Health Care Executive who has successfully led multiple interdisciplinary teams to success in a variety of complex and critical initiatives. Prior to joining St. Joseph’s in 2022, Sandy served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital and Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll.

The Board of Directors also confirms that Jennifer Sheils, Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Horizon Health Network, will begin her second Term of Office on the Board (2025 – 2028) – (Region 1, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island).

The College’s Board of Directors is comprised of respected senior health leaders with diverse backgrounds and from across the continuum of care. All volunteer their time to help guide the College’s staff by setting policy and making pivotal decisions. Their dedication has helped to make the College the professional association of choice for Canada’s health leaders.
