Andrea Reibmayr, CHE, Explores her Passion for Helping Leaders Excel

October 8, 2019

Andrea Reibmayr, CHE, is passionate about helping leaders excel. Not only is she a healthcare manager, a leadership facilitator, a coach, and an Amazon bestselling author, but she is also a recipient of the CCHL 2019 Chapter Award for Distinguished Service.

She began her career in healthcare after graduating from McGill University with a Major in Sociology which she followed up with a master in leadership, specializing in healthcare. Following her master’s degree, she knew she had a passion for helping leaders excel. For that reason, she returned to school and obtained her certification in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University. Since then Andrea has been accomplishing her passion of coaching and facilitating leaders and teams in healthcare to become aware of their personal strengths in creating engaged teams and how to navigate our complex adaptive healthcare system.

Appropriately, one of Andrea’s favorite quotes is from Dr. Francis Peabody (1929): “One of the essential qualities of the clinician is his interest in humanity, for the secret of the care of the patient is in caring for the patient.”

Her interest in creating better leaders extends to the College as well. As a certified LEADS coach, Andrea has been helping fellow College members develop their leadership skills and earn their CHE. As a chapter executive for the last four years, Andrea has been working hard to provide membership engagement, active recruitment and onboarding of members, as well as the development of educational and professional opportunities for our chapter members.

What makes Andrea’s involvement in the healthcare community and her local chapter truly unique is her passion and care for helping leaders excel. Patty MacDonald, the NEON Lights Chapter’s Past Chair, said, “Andrea’s innovation and passion with College initiatives inspire others within our chapter to go beyond what is expected, exemplifying the extraordinary leader that she is.”
