The program runs approximately 4 months (30-35 hours) from start to finish and includes the following components:
- Learning Packets – The program is comprised of Six Learning Packets: Program Overview, Lead Self, Engage Others, Achieve Results, Develop Coalitions and Systems Transformation. Each packet includes required reading and a Primer Activity related to the relevant Domain.
- Bringing Leadership to Life in Health: Putting LEADS to Work – Second Edition
- This book is required and is the primary reading resource and textbook for the LLF program. Participants must purchase this separately in either e-file or hard copy format by visiting our CCHL Bookstore (opens in a new tab).

- Wednesday February 26, 2025 - Session 3: Engage Others (2 hours)
- Wednesday March 19, 2025 - Session 4: Achieve Results (2 hours)
- Wednesday April 9, 2025 - Session 5: Develop Coalitions (2 hours)
- Wednesday April 30, 2025 - Session 6: Systems Transformation (2 hours)
- Wednesday May 7, 2025 - Session 7: Program Reflection (1 hour)
All sessions are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET
Completion of the full online LEADS Leadership Foundations program fulfills the LEADS Learning component of the CHE Select Program and prepares CHE Candidates to complete their LEADS in Action project. It also satisfies the LEADS Learning requirement (LEADS Learning Series) for eligibility to apply to the Certified LEADS Specialist (CLS) certification programs.
2025 REGISTRATION FEE:
Please note that starting January 2, 2025 the registration fee will increase to be $2075 before tax
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to programs@cchl-ccls.ca and received no later than 10 days prior to the start of the program. Registration fees will be refunded minus a $25 administrative fee. There will be no refunds for cancellation requests received after that said deadline. No-shows occur when individuals register but do not attend the program. No-shows are not eligible for a refund. The Canadian College of Health Leaders is not liability for the refund of any required reading material.
Prior to 10 days before the start of each session, the Canadian College of Health Leaders reserves the right to make changes in the program or to cancel the session if registration targets are not met or when conditions beyond its control prevail. If the workshops are not held for any reason, the Canadian College of Health Leaders' liability is limited to the refund of the registration fee only.
