New Award to Recognize Excellence in Patient Experience

November 8, 2018

The Canadian College of Health Leaders is pleased to introduce the new Excellence in Patient Experience Award as part of its National Awards Program. This new award, created with the support of Studer Group Canada, is focused on honouring organizations and individuals who have set in place innovations that improve the human experience in healthcare.

The Excellence in Patient Experience Award will highlight and recognize innovations that have made a change to how patients and their families experience healthcare services. Demonstrable improvements in or impact on culture, quality, safety and/or financial indicators will be used to determine the recipient of this award.

“Studer Group is passionate about making healthcare better; better for employees to work, physicians to practice medicine and patients to receive care. We know if we get the first two right, patients’ experience will be better!” said Bonnie Cochrane, CHE, General Manager of Studer Group Canada. “Patients expect excellent clinical care, and increasingly they expect to receive an experience that feels caring and compassionate, always, every time, for every patient.”

Individuals and teams are eligible for this award. Nominations must be made by a member of the College and be submitted by February 1, 2019. To submit a nomination, please download the nomination template.

The Canadian College of Health Leaders is inviting nominations for the 2019 National Awards Program.
